U of T Woodsworth College Academic Bridging Program

 

For students interested in applying to OCAD University

Students who complete the Academic Bridging Program at the University of Toronto, Woodsworth College are welcome to apply to OCAD University’s undergraduate programs. Admission to the Academic Bridging Program is determined by Woodsworth College. OCAD U-bound students are encouraged to select the part-time option for the Bridging Program.

Mature students* who achieve a minimum of 63% final grade in the Academic Bridging Program (one full course) will be deemed to have met the academic requirements for admission to OCAD University.

Applicants to OCAD University must meet all other requirements for admission as stated on the OCAD University website, including the portfolio assessment, which is the primary basis of admission to OCAD U’s studio programs.

Students who complete courses with a minimum 63% grade through the Academic Bridging Program will be awarded transfer credit upon entry to OCAD University as follows:

PROCEDURES FOR STUDENTS

  1. Mature students* who do not meet the academic requirements for admission as outlined by OCAD University may choose to enroll in the Academic Bridging program at Woodsworth College, University of Toronto as a means of meeting those requirements.
  2. Admission to OCAD University undergraduate programs takes place annually in September only.
  3. Applicants must follow application procedures posted on the OCAD University admissions web site and submit a portfolio for review to studio programs.
  4. Applicants who receive a successful portfolio review will receive a conditional offer of admission to OCAD University.
  5. Applicants much complete the Academic Bridging program with a final grade of a minimum of 63% in the Academic Bridging program before being permitted to register in classes at OCAD University.
  6. Each student who has applied under the conditions of this agreement will supply to OCAD University an official transcript from the University of Toronto by August 1 of the year of admission in order to satisfy the conditions of acceptance to OCAD University.

*Students must be at least 20 years of age and away from formal education for at least two years (not including the Academic Bridging Program) before commencing studies at OCAD University in order to qualify for admission under this agreement.
